Vanille de Tahiti by Perris Montecarlo is a symphony of warm, exotic and delicate sweet notes. A powerful and enveloping vanilla, enriched with floral notes of ylang ylang and champaka flowers, an olfactory melody warmed by notes of amber that mix with musk and sandalwood, for a narcotic and bewitching result.
Gian Luca Perris, nose and creative director of Perris Monte Carlo, highlights the uniqueness of this vanilla by creating an exotic and greedy fragrance. «I dreamed of giving voice to the soft perfume of the vanilla flower different from the sweeter aroma typical of the vanilla most commonly used in perfumery. Thanks to the exclusive raw materials of excellence, such as this vanilla tahintesis, I was finally able to create my olfactory painting ».
Native to Central America, the vanilla plant belongs to the orchid family, has a typical Liana shape and grows in humid tropical forests. In Mexico, people mixed it with chocolate to achieve aphrodisiac qualities. While in Peru and Ecuador women spread it like a balm under the arms and wore the pods as necklaces. Vanilla is a spice that is born thanks to a true act of love. The pollination process of the flower, artificially induced by man, is actually called "Marriage". A wise and delicate work that only expert hands can do and that brings out the fruit of the plant.
There are several varieties of vanilla, the liveliest being the Vanilla Tahitensis. The fruit ripens directly on the plant without human intervention, releasing the typical warm, exotic and sweet notes in a natural and spontaneous way.
The raw material extraction process is innovative and modern. Tahitian vanilla is not extracted with solvents, but through a more natural and less invasive process, known as supercritical CO2, which retains all the aromatic facets and identity of its natural profile to ensure a high purity extract. Its olfactory qualities are unique. The captivating aroma of this powerful, intoxicating and exotic raw material revives the soft and oily texture of the vanilla bean.
